About Us
Hotel Nautilus was born in the 1950s, when a visionary entrepreneur purchased a lakeside plot between Lecco and Bellagio to build a private retreat inspired by rationalist aesthetics and the allure of Jules Verne’s masterpiece adventures.
Over the years, what was once a private villa became an exclusive resort, still run by the same family who uphold a unique vision: to offer quiet, discreet hospitality deeply respectful of the place.
The entire property is self-sufficient in energy and water, with meticulous attention to sustainability and preservation.
The owner, a passionate collector of vintage cars and boats, wanted every corner of the hotel to tell a story, through historic models, fine woods, and suspended atmospheres.
A curiosity? Some rooms are furnished like ship cabins, complete with authentic portholes and original nautical décor
